I dreamed up The Curl Collective as a place where all hair textures, could be celebrated, empowered and embraced. As a hair stylist for over 15 years, I discovered a need for change in the beauty industry. The birth of my two daughters left me wanting more for each of them. I never wanted them to go to a salon and feel they weren’t worthy or good enough because of their hair texture. That’s when I started exploring the world of naturally curly hair and I just can’t stop! Over the last six years I’ve become obsessed with learning all I can about natural hair texture. I am certified in DevaCurl, Rëzo and Curly Hair Artistry’s Map Method. I have also taken several more classes in specifically coloring and styling naturally curly hair and have more classes scheduled for 2023! It’s become my mission to empower women to love the hair texture they were born with by teaching specific styling and hair care techniques uniquely designed for them.
